Choosing to be a Compassionate Samurai every day is one of the most thrilling, liberating and fulfilling journeys I have ever been on.

At our Heart of the Samurai course, we actually honor people with the gift of their own Samurai Sword for making it to that point in their training. They have gone to battle against their self destructive beliefs systems.

The samurai sword has many meanings and representations for us at Klemmer. The first is that it is said for a true master to make a samurai sword, they heat, fold and beat the metal over 80,000 times. Can you imagine this? Taking one piece of metal and in order to perfect it you must heat it, beat it and fold it 80,000 times. That is a commitment to excellence. That is a commitment not just to what is new, shiny and exciting but to true mastery. This master takes great pride in perfecting his craft. It is almost like through the Klemmer training that is what you are doing. You are looking at your mindsets, committing to excellence and perfecting them to continuously continue to sharpen them. This is you taking an approach to your own growth that you are always capable of being sharper, being better, being more excellent. And your growth is astounding.

The samurai sword also represents the cutting away of all illusions. Because the blade is so sharp, it is designed to be powerful in how it cuts. Sometimes it takes a superior tool to cut away the lies we have told ourselves for so many years. The lie that we are not good enough. The lie that our voice doesn’t matter. The lie that what we choose to do or choose not to do in life doesn’t matter. The lie that we are not worthy or deserving. Through the Klemmer training you have faced these lies head on and have come out victorious. You are worthy and deserving. You are more than enough. What you do in life, or choose not to do in life, matters.
